Merchant Settlement & Reconciliation Specialist - Remote

About the Role

Guru Pay is seeking a dedicated Merchant Settlement & Reconciliation Specialist to join our dynamic team. This remote position offers the opportunity to take full ownership of the reconciliation and merchant settlement processes within our acquiring product. As a Merchant Settlement & Reconciliation Specialist, you will ensure accuracy across complex payment flows and continuously improve existing processes.

What You'll Do

• Own and manage the full reconciliation flow for the acquiring product.
• Compare reports from Visa/Mastercard, payment processors, gateways, and internal systems to verify transaction amounts, fees, chargebacks, refunds, and adjustments.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies by collaborating with processors, card schemes, and internal teams.
• Prepare and execute periodic merchant settlements together with the internal payments team.
• Generate reconciliation and settlement reports for merchants and ensure alignment with actual payouts.
• Maintain and improve reconciliation procedures and documentation.
• Track discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
• Support month-end reconciliation and reporting processes.
• Participate in improving internal reconciliation tools and propose automation opportunities.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with reconciliation in fintech, payments, or financial services.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Ability to independently own reconciliation processes end-to-end.
• Comfort working with large datasets, reports, and multiple payment sources.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on improving processes.
• Strong English communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with acquiring or card payment reconciliations.
• Understanding of Visa/Mastercard settlement processes.
• Lithuanian language skills.
