About the Role

We're hiring a Security Architect to join BitMEX, a leading exchange for crypto derivatives. As a Security Architect, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our platform and ensuring the integrity of our systems. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to a dynamic and innovative environment.

What You'll Do

  • Design and engineer strategic security solutions to protect BitMEX's data, systems, and infrastructure from potential threats.
  • Develop Zero Trust Architecture design requirements through sound design methodology and effective configuration practices.
  • Review current system security measures and recommend enhancements, while addressing technical debt.
  • Conduct thorough threat and vulnerability analyses as part of the security design and solution engineering process.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents, providing detailed post-event analyses to improve future responses.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in the security industry, with at least 8 years in an application security role.
  • Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and hands-on experience with cloud security concerns, including Identity and Access Management.
  • Experience with Secrets and Credentials Management solutions.
  • Proficiency in centralized logging and container security.
  • Knowledge of incident response, disaster recovery, and cloud forensics.
  • Familiarity with cloud automation frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications in security frameworks or methodologies.
  • Experience in a fast-paced trading or financial environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
