Search & AI Retrieval Lead - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Search & AI Retrieval Lead to join our innovative team at proSapient. As a Search & AI Retrieval Lead remote, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how structured data, semantic understanding, and intelligent systems converge to enhance discovery across our platform. Your work will directly impact how clients navigate and utilize information, making it a crucial position within our organization.

What You'll Do

• Define and evaluate the future search architecture strategy, including technology selection.
• Design a scalable, cloud-native search architecture from first principles, integrating approaches such as keyword search, vector search, hybrid retrieval, and graph-based retrieval.
• Develop and implement a Knowledge Graph architecture that models entities and relationships, enhancing the retrieval process.
• Combine graph-based signals with semantic search and ranking models to improve information retrieval.
• Architect retrieval pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring scalability, observability, and cost efficiency.
• Build production-grade systems that are robust and reliable, not mere experiments.
• Design indexing, data modeling, and ranking strategies to ensure measurable relevance and quality frameworks.
• Develop modern recommendation systems leveraging both structured and unstructured data.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AI and machine learning, specifically in search architecture and intelligent retrieval systems.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with BigQuery or similar analytical systems.
• Strong understanding of LLMs (Large Language Models) and their application in search and retrieval.
• Experience designing scalable cloud-native architectures, preferably on GCP.
• Knowledge of knowledge graphs and their implementation in real-world applications.

Nice to Have

• Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) techniques.
• Familiarity with modern recommendation systems and their design.
• Previous experience in a consulting or private equity environment.
