About the Role

Join Vonage as an SDET (QA Automation) and help us innovate cloud communications for businesses worldwide! This remote opportunity allows you to be part of our Applications business unit, which focuses on delivering a suite of advanced communication tools designed to enhance customer engagement. As an SDET, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products through test automation and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Participate in the entire application development lifecycle with a strong focus on test automation.
• Introduce and improve automated tests to enhance product quality.
• Maintain and improve the automated test framework to ensure efficiency.
• Define testing requirements in conjunction with software engineers and the product owner.
• Identify opportunities for technical procedure and tool enhancements to drive production and development effectiveness.
• Innovate in best automation and continuous testing practices by trying new frameworks and technologies on the market and recommending their use.

Requirements

• Familiarity with Playwright or similar test automation frameworks.
• Experience in test management and managing test processes.
• Experience with observability tooling such as Grafana and Kibana.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and Postman, including creating collections and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies including functional, integration, acceptance, and unit testing.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Technical inquisitiveness and a passion for driving quality.

Nice to Have

• Experience troubleshooting and debugging end-to-end tests.
• Ability to simulate complex multi-system scenarios using standard tools and frameworks.
• Experience identifying opportunities for process and tool enhancements.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and grow in technical roles.
