SAP Security Architect - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a talented SAP Security Architect to join our team in a fully remote capacity. As an SAP Security Architect, you will provide end-to-end security architecture leadership for major initiatives, focusing on both SAP and non-SAP systems. Your expertise will ensure that all solution components are designed, integrated, and delivered securely and compliantly.

What You'll Do

• Act as the dedicated security architect for assigned projects, making critical security architectural decisions across SAP and non-SAP components.
• Define and maintain the end-to-end security architecture for projects, including applications, integrations, infrastructure, cloud services, identity, and security controls.
• Ensure architectural designs align with enterprise security standards while meeting project-specific functional, timeline, and delivery constraints.
• Serve as the primary point of accountability for security posture and technical risk within the project.
• Review and govern SAP and non-SAP architectures to ensure secure interoperability across the full solution landscape.
• Identify, document, and manage project-specific security risks, threats, and architectural gaps impacting confidentiality, integrity, or availability.
• Perform security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and design assessments for all components within the project scope.
• Recommend and drive the implementation of compensating controls and architectural changes to mitigate identified risks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security architecture, specifically with SAP environments.
• Strong knowledge of security principles and frameworks applicable to cloud and network security.
• Experience in managing security risks and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and design assessments.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with project leadership, application teams, and security stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Certifications in SAP security or related fields (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
• Experience with cloud security solutions and architectures.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR or HIPAA.
