Sales Representative - Agricultural Equipment Sales
About the Role
We're hiring a Sales Representative to join our team in agricultural equipment sales. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for machinery and a knack for building customer relationships. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling new and used agricultural and turf equipment to both new and existing customers in Glenns Ferry, Idaho.
What You'll Do
- Represent the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area.
- Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership.
- Monitor competitive activity/products and timely communicate to management.
- Maintain all customer information in assigned territory for sales management.
- Follow a defined sales process to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain assigned company vehicles and equipment.
- Assist with the preparation and execution of customer events.
- Conduct new equipment field demonstrations to showcase product capabilities.
- Monitor trends in customer’s business activities and communicate timely to management.
- Maintain current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
- Attend applicable sales training events and seminars to enhance your skills.
- Evaluate used equipment values for trading purposes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of equipment sales experience is required.
- Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices is preferred.
- Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
- Flexibility to work varying hours as needed.
- Excellent customer relationship skills to foster strong connections.
- Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent work experience is necessary.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the agricultural sector or related fields.
- Strong negotiation skills to close sales effectively.
- Familiarity with CRM software for managing customer relationships.
