About the Role

We are seeking a Business Development Director remote to join our innovative team at WildBrain. This position offers the flexibility of hybrid work, allowing you to balance collaboration in our London office with remote work opportunities. As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new partnerships that drive significant commercial growth.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the execution of 360 engagement strategies for new partners, focusing on those that deliver the highest strategic and commercial impact.
  • Identify and propose high-impact business opportunities to the Executive Leadership team, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic priorities.
  • Develop and lead pitches to potential high-value partners, crafting compelling business cases that integrate WildBrain’s offerings across Licensing and Audience Engagement.
  • Work cross-functionally to prepare forecasts and design commercial proposals that meet financial thresholds.
  • Utilize data and insights to drive strategic planning and optimize partner performance, identifying new revenue streams.
  • Build trust and navigate complex partnerships to deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, bringing insights that unlock new monetization opportunities.
  • Manage multiple revenue-driving initiatives under pressure, demonstrating exceptional project management and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through business development and key account management within the kids’ content, digital media, or licensing industries.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess deal value, profitability, and long-term commercial impact.
  • Excellent understanding of digital distribution, YouTube/AVOD monetization, and digital marketing models.
  • Experience leveraging franchise IP to generate commercial growth through audience engagement.
  • Senior-level experience in brand or category commercialization within licensing, toys, apparel, or FMCG.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives effectively.
  • Data-driven and results-oriented, with experience using analytics to inform commercial decisions.
  • Proven negotiation and deal-closing capabilities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience producing commercial proposals and financial modeling.
  • Competent in using analytics platforms such as YouTube CMS, Meta Business Manager, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop unique commercial opportunities.
