Route Controller - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Route Controller to join our fantastic Space Control team remotely. This position is a maternity cover for 18 months and will involve optimizing SAS Cargo's capacity and freight operations. As a Route Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our cargo capacity is utilized optimally while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations.

What You'll Do

• Manage daily operational handling of SAS flights and truck operations.
• Optimize capacity on all freight and mail-carrying flights and trucks.
• Meet departmental goals by identifying, implementing, and following up on activities.
• Prepare decision-making proposals and drive operational activities focused on improving SAS Cargo's contribution to SAS Airlines.
• Develop and document internal processes to create value across the transport chain.
• Ensure optimal and economical truck setups.
• Collaborate effectively with other departments within SAS Cargo.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in air freight with a background in logistics or trucking.
• Fluent in English and Danish, both written and spoken.
• Strong sense of responsibility and a positive, holistic approach to tasks.
• Team player with proactive and driving qualities.
• Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be flexible in a dynamic environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cargo operations in a major airline.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance in air freight.
• Familiarity with traffic optimization software.
