Risk Data Platform Engineer - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We're hiring a Risk Data Platform Engineer to join our innovative team. This remote opportunity allows you to build and maintain the Risk data foundation, automating risk reporting across the company. As a Risk Data Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in reducing manual spreadsheets and enabling consistent, auditable Management Information (MI).
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain the risk data warehouse/marts, integrating key sources such as trading/exposure, finance/cash, and operational metrics.
- Build ETL/ELT pipelines with monitoring, logging, access controls, and data quality checks to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Iterate over the canonical data model to maintain adaptability to the evolving business model.
- Automate recurring MI reports, including mark-to-market and daily reports, to enable self-service dashboards.
- Maintain metric definitions, documentation, and change logs to ensure MI is regulator/audit ready.
- Translate Risk requirements into data products, managing a delivery backlog and iterating with stakeholders.
- Create and maintain quantitative risk models that produce outputs for liquidity and risk management.
- Deliver key outputs including documented datasets, scheduled pipelines with alerts, and automated MI packs/dashboards.
Requirements
- Strong experience with SQL and Python, particularly in data warehousing and building robust production pipelines.
- Experience with BI tooling and disciplined documentation practices.
- Comfortable working in regulated environments.
- A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with quantitative risk modeling.
- Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.
