About the Role

We're hiring a Research Scientist to join our innovative team at BioInnovation Institute (BII) in Copenhagen. This Research Scientist remote position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation biologic therapies for cardiometabolic diseases.

What You'll Do

  • Perform functional in vitro assays, maintain cell lines, and manage cell banks.
  • Conduct routine laboratory techniques such as ELISA, Western blotting, and related assays.
  • Support the production and purification of recombinant proteins, assisting with downstream quality control.
  • Assist with day-to-day laboratory activities to ensure smooth project progress.
  • Work closely with the Lead Scientist and Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) to plan and coordinate experimental tasks.
  • Maintain high standards of data quality, documentation, and experimental reproducibility.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in molecular biology, protein science, or a related field with 0-3 years of experience, or a Certified Laboratory Technician with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Practical experience and good technical knowledge of mammalian cell culture and functional cell-based assays.
  • Hands-on experience with protein production in mammalian cell systems and preferably also in E. coli.
  • A strong focus on high-quality data generation, documentation, and reporting.
  • Professional proficiency in English, written and spoken.
