About the Role

GitLab is hiring a full-time UX Researcher remote to join our innovative team. As a remote UX Researcher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our products by conducting in-depth research and analysis. This position allows you to work from the comfort of your home in the USA, Canada, or Europe, providing you with the flexibility to balance your professional and personal life.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights on user behavior and preferences.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions and improve user experience.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to integrate research findings into the product development process.
  • Create user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts to communicate research insights effectively.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UX research to continuously enhance our methodologies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a UX Researcher or in a related field.
  • Proven ability to conduct user research and analyze data effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Experience with usability testing and user-centered design principles.
  • Familiarity with tools such as UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, or similar platforms.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in B2B SaaS environments.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Familiarity with design tools like Figma or Sketch.
