Remote Software Engineer - SaaS Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Field Nation. As a Remote Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our cutting-edge SaaS solution, hosted on AWS, to support the evolving Gig economy. What You'll Do

• Develop and enhance our SaaS platform using PHP, MySQL, and transitioning to Node.js microservices.
• Build and maintain the front end with React, React Native, and Redux for both web and mobile applications.
• Utilize Docker containers for building and deploying services, managed by Kubernetes.
• Ensure observability, monitoring, and maintenance of service level indicators (SLI/SLO).
• Collaborate with engineering, Product Management, UX, and customers to deliver impactful features.
• Assist in preparing technical specifications and documentation as part of the team.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in backend development.
• 1+ years of experience with ReactJS.
• Strong understanding of TypeScript and ES6.
• Experience with backend languages such as Node.js, NestJS, and PHP.
• Knowledge of SQL, specifically MySQL.
• Ability to write clean, standards-compliant HTML and CSS.
• Familiarity with Git version control system.
• Experience with Web Services-based solutions (REST).

Nice to Have

• Experience with microservice architecture.
• Experience with mobile applications (React Native).
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture (RabbitMQ/Kafka).
• Experience with software observability (Application Performance Monitoring).
• Experience working with offshore teams.
