About the Role

We are seeking an Agricultural Consultant (Dairy Farming) - Remote Opportunity to join our dedicated team at Landwirtschaftskammer Nordrhein-Westfalen. In this role, you will work closely with agricultural entrepreneurs, providing expert advice and support in dairy farming operations. This position allows for both part-time and full-time work, making it a flexible opportunity for professionals in the agricultural sector.

What You'll Do

• Provide individual consultations to dairy farmers, focusing on economic assessments, business planning, and financing strategies.
• Analyze financial statements and develop tailored strategies for business improvement in dairy farming.
• Conduct annual evaluations to identify weaknesses and opportunities for growth within dairy operations.
• Assist clients in applying for agricultural funding and grants, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Organize and lead group events and excursions to promote knowledge sharing among agricultural professionals.
• Deliver presentations and workshops on topics related to dairy farming and agricultural efficiency.
• Collaborate with a team of experts to enhance service offerings and client satisfaction.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of agricultural economics and practices in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Requirements

• A completed university degree (Diploma or Bachelor) in Agricultural Sciences or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural economics and the dairy farming sector.
• Experience in agricultural production technology through internships or practical experience.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel for client visits.
• Fluency in German and proficiency in English is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience with energy efficiency consulting in agriculture.
• Familiarity with renewable energy generation in farming.
• Previous experience in public sector consulting.
