About the Role

We are seeking a talented Remote Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at MinIO, the industry leader in high-performance object storage. In this role, you will work closely with customers and the engineering team to enhance, optimize, validate, and automate our cloud-native storage platform. As a Remote Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that MinIO delivers high-quality products with exceptional performance, scalability, and durability for demanding workloads.

What You'll Do

• Enhance, optimize, validate, and automate core MinIO software for performance, scalability, and security.
• Help build and deliver high-performance distributed storage solutions with a focus on cloud-native architectures.
• Validate the MinIO Software according to customer environments and requirements, ensuring smooth deployments.
• Improve existing features, fix critical issues, and contribute to open-source repositories.
• Collaborate with other engineers to refine architecture, APIs, and integrations.
• Write efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code.
• Conduct performance benchmarking and debugging of complex storage environments.
• Work closely with customers to address issues and manage expectations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role.
• Deep expertise in DevOps practices, SRE, systems programming, distributed computing, and storage architectures.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies and architectures.
• Familiarity with performance benchmarking and debugging techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Nice to Have

• Experience with open-source contributions.
• Knowledge of AI and analytics in storage solutions.
• Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
