About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Temporal Technologies. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our developer productivity and ensuring the reliability of our core platforms. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the world while contributing to our mission of simplifying code and improving application reliability.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle, including goals and requirements solicitation, design and review, implementation, operationalization, deployment, support, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the observability of our systems, both for internal use and customer-facing applications.
  • Drive initiatives that improve the developer experience and contribute to the open-source community.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in software development.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions that impact the entire Temporal ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a focus on DevOps and infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of observability tools and practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, or Java.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for improving developer productivity.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with open-source software development.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture.
