About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Research Scientist to join Cognitive Performance Group, where you will apply your expertise to improve decision-making and cognitive performance in high-stakes environments. This Remote Research Scientist position is ideal for those passionate about conducting innovative research that supports Warfighters and enhances cognitive capabilities.

What You'll Do

  • Lead applied research projects, utilizing qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods to assess human performance.
  • Conduct studies in operational environments, focusing on cognitive performance and team dynamics.
  • Develop metrics and assessment instruments to evaluate learning outcomes and training effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to design and implement research initiatives.
  • Prepare and present scientific papers and technical reports at professional conferences.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in applied psychology or related field; PhD preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in human subjects research, particularly within the Department of Defense.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistics and data analysis methods.
  • Experience in human-centered design principles and usability testing.
  • Active security clearance and eligibility for higher-level clearance.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with military organizations such as Army Research Institute or Air Force Research Laboratory.
  • Proven track record of securing research funding and developing new business opportunities.
  • Published research in relevant fields.
