Remote Program Manager - Government Consultancy

About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Program Manager to join our team at Nava. This role is pivotal in leading the delivery and client engagement efforts on strategic contracts with government agencies. As a Remote Program Manager, you will be at the forefront of reimagining how government services are delivered, ensuring that our partners receive exceptional service and support.

What You'll Do

• Exceed the expectations of our government partners by cultivating strong, trusting relationships and maintaining high situational awareness at the agency level.
• Proactively detect risks and work collaboratively with the delivery team and program stakeholders to effectively resolve them.
• Engage our clients continuously to ensure their needs are met or exceeded, understand their vision, and communicate our progress transparently.
• Maintain awareness of the broader project landscape and grow your program accordingly.
• Collaborate across projects to proactively anticipate and solve problems.
• Manage all contracts and finances within your portfolio in coordination with the finance team.
• Set and uphold standards for delivery excellence and client service.
• Participate in developing and delivering company objectives and key results.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience overseeing delivery outcomes and client relationships for large projects.
• Experience with Custom Software or Cloud infrastructure programs/projects.
• Solid understanding of government contracting, compliance, and audit trails.
• Experience leading and growing agile development teams.
• Ability to manage large-scale projects with significant complexity.
• Familiarity with agile frameworks like scrum, kanban, or SAFe.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Empathetic communicator and relationship builder.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in managing Paid Family Leave Benefits Programs.
• Experience working closely with state government.
• Proven track record of building high-performing agile technology teams.
• Experience launching new production systems with high public visibility.
• Experience with long-term, complex IT modernization efforts.
