About the Role

We are currently looking for a Freedom of Information and Parliamentary Questions Officer to join our Customer Experience Centre Function within the Enablement group. This is a full-time permanent position. The role will be based in London, with a flexible, hybrid way of working that allows for remote work. You will be required to attend the office a minimum of 8 days per month, depending on business needs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to enhance public health through effective regulation.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and triage Parliamentary Questions (PQ) and Public Office (PO) requests, ensuring timely responses.
  • Coordinate PQ and PO activities, including issuing reminders and tracking deadlines.
  • Support the Senior PQ Officer and Head of FOIs & PQs by compiling statistics and identifying trends.
  • Maintain effective collaboration with the Customer Experience Centre and operational leads.
  • Keep abreast of wider MHRA issues to identify potentially sensitive requests.
  • Explore new ways to improve processes and deliver efficiencies.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and maintain an up-to-date shared tracker.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in managing operational delivery of services.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and support decision-making.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders outside your immediate team.
  • Experience in a customer service environment, resolving issues and complaints effectively.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the healthcare sector or regulatory environment.
  • Knowledge of parliamentary processes and current affairs.
  • Experience in leading teams and motivating staff.
