Freedom of Information and Parliamentary Questions Officer - Remote
About the Role
We are currently looking for a Freedom of Information and Parliamentary Questions Officer to join our Customer Experience Centre Function within the Enablement group. This is a full-time permanent position. The role will be based in London, with a flexible, hybrid way of working that allows for remote work. You will be required to attend the office a minimum of 8 days per month, depending on business needs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to enhance public health through effective regulation.
What You'll Do
- Manage and triage Parliamentary Questions (PQ) and Public Office (PO) requests, ensuring timely responses.
- Coordinate PQ and PO activities, including issuing reminders and tracking deadlines.
- Support the Senior PQ Officer and Head of FOIs & PQs by compiling statistics and identifying trends.
- Maintain effective collaboration with the Customer Experience Centre and operational leads.
- Keep abreast of wider MHRA issues to identify potentially sensitive requests.
- Explore new ways to improve processes and deliver efficiencies.
- Ensure accurate reporting and maintain an up-to-date shared tracker.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in managing operational delivery of services.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and support decision-making.
- Ability to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders outside your immediate team.
- Experience in a customer service environment, resolving issues and complaints effectively.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
