Remote Principal Software Engineer - Attack Surface Intelligence

About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Principal Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Recorded Future. As a leader in intelligence solutions, we empower over 1,900 clients worldwide with our cutting-edge technology. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and scaling the systems that power our Attack Surface Intelligence module. Your contributions will directly impact the ingestion and distribution of critical intelligence signals, both internally and to our customers.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design and implementation of backend services and APIs using Python.
• Architect and evolve microservice-based systems for scalability and resilience.
• Take ownership of critical data pipelines responsible for managing intelligence signals.
• Collaborate closely with product management and other engineering teams to drive technical strategy.
• Ensure our systems are reliable, performant, and insightful for our clients.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend development.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of data pipelines and distributed systems.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and mentor junior engineers.
• Experience working in an agile environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of security best practices in software development.
