Product Design Manager - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

Are you looking to make an impact and help shape the user experience for customers across the globe? Awin is seeking a Product Design Manager remote to join the team in their mission to help customers grow their business online. This role is a critical leadership position, working closely with the Head of UX. You’ll be responsible for recruitment, influencing change, driving process improvements, and managing a team of designers.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage a team of designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to your team.
• Drive positive change within design processes, advocating for user-centric design practices and ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Work towards growing the overall design maturity of the organization by implementing best practices, design systems, and methodologies that elevate the quality of design work.
• Collaborate with the Head of UX in developing and executing strategic initiatives to advance the UX vision and overall business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize design initiatives based on business impact and customer value, ensuring efficient allocation of design resources.
• Identify opportunities to optimize design processes, improve efficiency, and establish best-in-class design workflows.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment of design goals with broader business objectives.

Requirements

• Proven track record in product design, with a deep understanding of UX and UI principles.
• Adept at leading and inspiring a team of designers.
• Experience in hiring, mentoring, and managing designers to foster a collaborative and high-performing design culture.
• Ability to influence and drive change within design processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize initiatives effectively, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality design work.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, executives, and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to communicate design vision effectively to gain buy-in.
• Ability to move work forward, meet deadlines, and deliver exceptional design solutions that contribute to the success of the business.

Nice to Have

• Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of front-end development technologies.
• Experience in a B2B SaaS environment.
