About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Remote Medical Billing Specialist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will manage billing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations. As a Remote Medical Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the revenue cycle management, working closely with healthcare providers and insurance companies.

What You'll Do

• Process medical billing and coding for various healthcare services.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid claims.
• Reconcile payments and resolve discrepancies in patient accounts.
• Maintain accurate patient records and billing information.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper documentation and coding.
• Assist in the management of accounts receivable and revenue cycle.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and insurance representatives.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in medical billing and coding.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding.
• Proficiency in MS Office and billing software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in healthcare or clinical settings is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Certification in medical billing and coding (e.g., CPC, CCS).
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
