Remote Lead Data Engineer - Cloud Data Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Lead Data Engineer to join our innovative team at Jobgether. In this role, you will lead the design and optimization of cloud-based data platforms, implementing scalable and secure data solutions that align with our business strategies. As a Remote Lead Data Engineer, you will guide architectural decisions, mentor a team of engineers, and ensure best practices are followed throughout the development process.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a technical expert for Snowflake and Azure, driving the implementation of cloud solutions.
• Develop and maintain API-driven integrations using MuleSoft to enhance data accessibility.
• Lead the migration from on-prem SQL Server environments to Snowflake, ensuring a smooth transition.
• Implement engineering best practices, including CI/CD and infrastructure as code, to streamline operations.
• Troubleshoot complex data and platform issues, providing effective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor and support junior data engineers, fostering a culture of growth and learning.
• Optimize data models and compute usage for enhanced performance and cost-efficiency.
• Partner with IT and security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies to improve the data platform.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, demonstrating deep expertise in cloud data solutions.
• 8 years of experience with Azure cloud services, showcasing your ability to leverage cloud technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, essential for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with MuleSoft for integrations, enhancing data flow and accessibility.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and infrastructure as code, ensuring efficient deployment processes.
• Strong understanding of data architecture principles and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
• Experience leading technical discussions and guiding teams towards successful outcomes.
• Healthcare data experience is a plus, adding value to our data initiatives.
