What You'll Do
- Drive customer solutions by understanding their unique requirements and challenges.
- Close business deals with both existing and new customers, consistently exceeding sales quotas.
- Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment, working closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional service.
- Maintain a robust pipeline and forecast of business opportunities, ensuring accuracy in reporting.
- Manage the sales pipeline by engaging with prospects, partners, and key customers to accelerate growth.
- Set strategic sales plans for your territories, aligning with MariaDB's overall direction.
- Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management, outlining quarterly strategies and performance.
- Follow up with leads within company SLAs, utilizing various communication methods including phone, email, and social media.
- Be willing to travel up to 20% to meet with customers and attend company events.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in database/data management, DBaaS, or cloud sales.
- Proven track record of managing large enterprise opportunities and closing transactional business.
- Strong sales acumen with the ability to navigate complex sales cycles.
- Experience selling enterprise cloud database solutions is preferred.
- Familiarity with open source software solutions is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a proactive, optimistic attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to convey the business value of complex enterprise solutions effectively.
- Experience with prospecting and opportunity development using tools like Salesloft, Salesforce.com, Zoom, Marketo, and Zoominfo.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
