Remote Director of Project Management - Transform Education
About the Role
We are looking for a Remote Director of Project Management to join our team at EdReports.org. This pivotal role will allow you to lead our Project Management function during a crucial time of product transformation. As a leader in this position, you will play a significant role in shaping the future of education by ensuring that high-quality instructional materials are delivered effectively to educators and students alike.
What You'll Do
- Establish and lead the Project Management function, defining standards, tools, and operating rhythms that support a product-led, learning-driven delivery model.
- Partner closely with the Managing Director of Product Management and product leaders to translate strategy, roadmaps, OKRs, and governance decisions into clear delivery commitments.
- Lead delivery and embedded Product Operations for high-priority initiatives, pilots, and launches within the Review Design Innovation team and beyond.
- Design, operationalize, and continuously improve portfolio management processes to ensure transparency and efficiency.
- Hire, develop, and lead a team of Project Managers who will steward delivery and enhance the overall effectiveness of EdReports' product and program portfolio.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in an educational or technology-focused environment.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
- Strong understanding of product management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across various teams.
- Experience in developing and implementing project management standards and processes.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the EdTech industry or with educational curriculum development.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Ability to mentor and coach team members in project management best practices.
