About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Remote Certifying Scientist specializing in Toxicology to join Ethos Holding Corp. In this role, you will be responsible for the analytical review and verification of LC-MS/MS toxicology data, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance. As a Remote Certifying Scientist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining analytical integrity and supporting our commitment to excellence in the healthcare sector.

What You'll Do

  • Perform detailed reviews of LC-MS/MS analytical data for toxicology confirmation assays.
  • Evaluate calibration curves, system suitability, and batch acceptance criteria.
  • Review quality control performance and verify compliance with established acceptance limits.
  • Assess chromatographic peak integrity, integration accuracy, and signal quality.
  • Confirm retention time alignment and ion transition performance according to validated methods.
  • Identify analytical anomalies including interferences, carryover, poor peak shape, or integration errors.
  • Document analytical findings and exceptions clearly within laboratory systems.
  • Communicate analytical review outcomes with certifying scientists and laboratory personnel.
  • Participate in ongoing training related to LC-MS/MS toxicology, drug metabolism, and analytical best practices.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving forensic and clinical toxicology standards.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Chemistry, Toxicology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, or related analytical science.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting LC-MS/MS or GC-MS/MS data.
  • Strong understanding of drug metabolism and toxicology principles.
  • Experience reviewing calibration curves, QC performance, and chromatographic data.
  • High level of attention to analytical detail and data integrity.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a laboratory setting focused on toxicology.
  • Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in toxicology.
