About the Role

We're hiring a Remote Brand Designer to join our dynamic team at Tailscale. As a Remote Brand Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping our brand identity and ensuring consistency across all platforms. What You'll Do

• Support brand expression across various channels, creating visually appealing designs that resonate with our audience.
• Design and iterate using Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, ensuring all files are clean and organized.
• Create high-quality assets for web, social media, presentations, and marketing campaigns, adhering to brand guidelines.
• Handle production tasks, including prepping print files and exporting web assets, while managing organized libraries.
• Adapt and extend designs across multiple formats to maintain clarity and accessibility.
• Contribute to a scalable design system by organizing components, templates, and layouts effectively.
• Help create diagrams and technical visualizations that simplify complex ideas into intuitive graphics.
• Collaborate in a remote-first environment, sharing progress with a distributed team across various time zones.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Figma and experience working within a design system or structured visual language.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); motion skills in After Effects are a plus.
• Strong grasp of design fundamentals: typography, layout, color, balance, and hierarchy.
• Experience designing landing pages, marketing pages, or UI components for modern responsive or adaptive layouts.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly in remote and asynchronous settings.
• Strong attention to detail and organized file management.
• Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback thoughtfully.
• Curiosity about technology and design trends.
