About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled Remote Android Engineer to join a forward-thinking technology company that develops intelligent mobility platforms used by major public transport operators globally. What You'll Do
- Design and develop advanced features within the mobile SDK using Kotlin and Java.
- Tackle complex challenges related to location tracking, background processing, sensor data management, and mobile performance optimization.
- Build reliable APIs and developer tools that integrate seamlessly into partner applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mobile, backend, and infrastructure engineers.
- Provide technical support during SDK integration and ensure smooth deployment at scale.
- Continually improve system architecture, testing practices, security protocols, and developer experience.
Requirements
- Strong background in Android development with proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
- Experience with complex mobile systems such as SDKs, frameworks, or large-scale applications.
- Familiarity with reactive programming paradigms like RxJava.
- Deep understanding of asynchronous programming and multithreading.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Android architecture components and platform capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
