Remote Analytics Engineer - Cross-Chain Data Solutions
About the Role
We are hiring a Remote Analytics Engineer to join our innovative team at Relay. As a leader in cross-chain payments, Relay is dedicated to providing instant, low-cost transactions across multiple blockchain networks. With over 5 million users and more than 59 million transactions amounting to $6 billion in volume, we are revolutionizing the way users interact with blockchain technology. In this role, you will help us make sense of cross-chain data at scale, building the data models and pipelines that drive our decision-making processes.
What You'll Do
- Build the data foundation by transforming raw blockchain and production data into clean, reliable datasets.
- Own core analytics models across our medallion architecture.
- Partner with data engineering on ingestion pipelines to ensure seamless data flow.
- Model transaction data across dozens of chains, including swaps, bridges, fees, and capital flows.
- Integrate pricing feeds and partner data for competitive analysis.
- Gather requirements from product, business, and operations teams to design and standardize key metrics.
- Build dashboards and enable self-service analytics for stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience in data analytics roles.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
- Experience with modern tools such as dbt, Airflow, Dagster, or similar.
- Comfortable working with large, complex datasets and semi-structured data.
- Ability to translate technical concepts easily for non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive in finding opportunities to explore and utilize data.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the blockchain space or familiarity with on-chain data.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to pivot and adapt in ambiguous situations.
