Remote Accounting Manager - Financial Leadership Role
About the Role
We're hiring a Remote Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team at General Plastics & Composites. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting functions and lead a team of professionals to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting. You will play a key role in shaping the financial health of our organization while working remotely from the comfort of your home.
What You'll Do
- Manage Accounts Receivable and Credit, ensuring timely and accurate customer invoicing.
- Review customer accounts and recommend credit limits and terms to the CFO.
- Communicate with customers regarding invoice status and collections, fostering strong relationships.
- Monitor aging reports and collaborate with Sales to resolve past-due balances.
- Oversee Accounts Payable, ensuring vendor invoices are entered accurately and paid on time.
- Initiate ACH and wire transactions for approval by authorized signers.
- Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Support cash management and forecasting in partnership with the CFO.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency with UKG Pro for payroll processing and reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.

- Excellent communication skills, able to convey financial concepts to non-accountants.
