About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Kubernetes and cloud technologies to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud-native solutions. As a Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer, you will play a critical role in enhancing our infrastructure and ensuring high availability and performance of our services.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement Kubernetes-based solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS EKS, GCP GKE, and Azure AKS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine cloud architecture and deployment strategies.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible to automate deployment processes.
  • Monitor and optimize Kubernetes clusters for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and other tools to streamline the software delivery process.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
  • Engage in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues within the Kubernetes environment.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud computing and Kubernetes technologies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud computing and Kubernetes platform engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of container orchestration, microservices architecture, and cloud-native applications.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Golang.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, particularly in a Kubernetes context.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and Linux operating systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
