About the Role
We are seeking a Regional Manager - M&A Focus for Insurance Brokerage (Remote) to lead our growth strategy through acquisitions in the Austrian insurance market. In this role, you will be instrumental in identifying and integrating potential brokerage acquisitions, ensuring a seamless transition and operational success.
What You'll Do
- Actively identify potential acquisition targets in the brokerage market and build a sustainable network in your region.
- Oversee the entire M&A process from initial contact to successful closure, with a strong emphasis on integration.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders throughout the acquisition process, including senior management and external consultants.
- Support the economic and strategic evaluation of target companies, including analysis of portfolios, revenues, and synergies.
- Negotiate with owners and decision-makers to develop viable, long-term solutions.
- Ensure the structured integration of newly acquired brokerage firms on operational, organizational, and cultural levels.
- Facilitate the sustainable transition of customer portfolios, processes, and employees into the REAL Group.
- Work closely with management, providing regular updates on pipeline, progress, and completed transactions.
Requirements
- Solid experience in the insurance industry, preferably in a brokerage environment, including familiarity with common insurance and sales systems (e.g., CCA).
- Experience in M&A, corporate development, or building distribution partnerships.
- Strong understanding of economic contexts and experience in company analysis.
- Excellent knowledge of the insurance market (both retail and corporate) and its structures.
- Confident demeanor, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record of closing deals.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, initiative, and a results-oriented approach.
- Experience with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., IDD, compliance, GDPR).
- Willingness to travel within your assigned region.
