Project Supplier Quality Representative - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Project Supplier Quality Representative to join our team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will represent Bechtel as the primary point of contact for supplier quality, ensuring that all equipment, materials, and documentation meet the required standards. You will perform quality surveillance and hands-on inspections, verifying compliance with procurement documents. What You'll Do

• Act as the supplier’s primary contact for quality-related matters, performing surveillance activities to ensure compliance with technical and quality requirements.
• Review procurement document requirements with supplier representatives to ensure understanding and implementation.
• Monitor supplier personnel activities, including witnessing operations and inspections, to verify adherence to procurement document requirements.
• Conduct hands-on inspections to validate supplier inspection efforts and ensure conformance to quality standards.
• Collaborate with suppliers and project quality personnel to address non-conformances and facilitate satisfactory resolutions.
• Release conforming materials for shipment and coordinate with other Bechtel functional organizations.
• Evaluate supplier conformance to specified quality criteria and provide input for future orders.
• Participate in audits and surveys of suppliers as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent.
• 9-12 years of relevant work experience in quality assurance or supplier quality management.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and quality requirements.
• Experience in conducting audits and quality inspections.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and project teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and tools.

Nice to Have

• Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO).
• Experience in the construction or engineering industry.
• Familiarity with nuclear material and quality program audits.
