Program Director for Housing Support - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Program Director for Housing Support to lead our initiatives aimed at empowering vulnerable families in Barcelona. This remote opportunity allows you to make a significant impact in the community while managing a crucial program that supports single-parent families facing social vulnerabilities. As the Program Director, you will oversee the operational management, strategic coordination, and methodological design of our housing program, ensuring it meets the needs of our clients and adheres to quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Plan and coordinate the execution of housing services in alignment with general directives, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and internal quality standards.
- Design and adjust methodologies for direct intervention with families, enhancing their autonomy and capabilities.
- Ensure the technical quality of housing and workspaces, implementing necessary safety measures and resource management.
- Establish economic control systems for expenditure, material management, and indicator supervision, authorizing assistance for families in need.
- Lead the selection and onboarding of team members, providing them with the necessary training and support to fulfill the program's mission.
- Supervise staff to ensure they understand their rights and responsibilities, managing schedules, vacations, and attendance.
- Respond to family inquiries and manage complaints, ensuring respect for their fundamental rights.
- Represent the organization in meetings with municipal authorities and coordinate with other entities for project success.
Requirements
- A degree in social sciences such as social education, social work, political science, anthropology, or sociology.
- At least 5 years of experience in program management, particularly in social services or housing support.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities to motivate teams and communicate effectively.
- Experience in crisis management and problem-solving in stressful situations.
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with vulnerable populations and understanding of intercultural dynamics.
- Familiarity with local social services and housing regulations in Spain.
