Product Designer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are looking for a Product Designer remote who can effectively translate complex problems into a clear, thoughtful experience. As a Product Designer, you will work closely with PMs, Engineers, and Designers to deliver high-quality, user-centered solutions while growing your craft, judgment, and product understanding.

What You'll Do

• Contribute as a core designer in 1-2 product groups.
• Develop close partnerships with Product and Engineering teams.
• Rapidly prototype designs for validation and iterate based on peer and user feedback.
• Conduct user research with guidance, helping translate insights into design decisions.
• Actively participate in critiques, clearly communicating design rationale and tradeoffs.
• Own design execution for projects from concept through delivery.
• Present your work at structured reviews with design leadership.
• Build a strong understanding of SmartRecruiters and identify innovation opportunities.
• Contribute to the design system and push other design initiatives forward in the greater organization by actively sharing best practices, work-in-progress, and lessons learned.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience designing digital products for web and/or mobile.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong interaction and visual design skills.
• Experience contributing to end-to-end design work from discovery to delivery.
• Familiarity with user research methods and ability to incorporate feedback effectively into design decisions with a clear point of view.
• Ability to design beyond the happy path, considering edge cases and more.
• Experience working closely with product managers, engineers, and designers.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, especially with presenting work.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, iterative product development environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with or contributing to a design system.
• Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design principles.
• Exposure to HR technology or complex enterprise workflows.
