Product Designer - Remote Position at Stellar Tech

What You'll Do

• You’ll own and elevate the first-time user experience, ensuring users’ very first interaction with SmartyMe is delightful, intuitive, and memorable.
• Your primary mission will be to design onboarding flows, aha moments, and early success loops that help users feel instantly connected and motivated to learn.
• You’ll support monetization through meaningful UX, creating flows that align with user intent and real value, avoiding dark patterns.
• Contribute to evolving SmartyMe’s core learning experience, focusing on content delivery and habit-forming mechanics that support long-term growth.
• Experiment boldly in our AI Lab, prototyping, testing, and validating cutting-edge features powered by AI, including personalized tutors and adaptive content.
• Drive real product impact by collaborating closely with engineers, analysts, and product leadership to run discovery and frame the right problems.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in product design, ideally for mobile-first consumer apps, particularly in EdTech, wellness, or habit-building products.
• Proven experience designing flows that drive successful onboarding, engagement, and early habit formation.
• Comfortable designing around AI-powered features and working with uncertain hypotheses.
• Proficient in Figma, including components, auto layout, variants, and prototyping.
• Skilled in contributing to and expanding scalable, efficient design systems.
• Strong product mindset, ownership, and initiative, with a detail-oriented approach to design.
• Excellent communication skills to explain design decisions clearly.
• Curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning, especially around AI and mobile UX trends.

Nice to Have

• Experience in EdTech or related fields.
• Familiarity with user psychology principles.
• Experience with A/B testing and user research methodologies.
