Motion Graphics Designer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Motion Graphics Designer to join our dynamic team at VGW, an interactive entertainment company. This is an exciting opportunity for a Motion Graphics Designer to work remotely while contributing to our Creative team in Sydney. As a Motion Graphics Designer, you will play a crucial role in establishing and growing our global VGW Creative Studio by delivering high-caliber creative content across our brands. Your work will be showcased across various high-impact mediums, making this a fantastic opportunity to make your mark in the gaming industry.

What You'll Do

• Produce video creative that aligns with strategic marketing objectives, from high-energy game video campaigns to performance-driven social ads.
• Transform approved concepts and storyboards into engaging animations, demonstrating a sophisticated eye for pacing and visual effects.
• Collaborate with the Head of Motion and Senior Motion Designers to ensure all assets meet premium design standards.
• Manage your own time and workload effectively, ensuring projects meet quality expectations and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Build positive internal relationships and contribute to the creative department showcase, reinforcing the studio's reputation as a center of excellence.
• Partner with Marketing Stakeholders and the wider creative team to ensure assets are aligned with campaign goals and delivered effectively across all channels.
• Utilize learnings from team sessions and analytics to ensure industry best practices are followed across all platforms.

Requirements

• 5+ years of motion graphics experience within an agency or high-growth in-house environment.
• Mastery of Animation Fundamentals, with a deep understanding of color, typography, composition, rhythm, keyframing, and animation curves.
• Strong video editing and storytelling skills, capable of creating impactful content across short-form social media, brand Connected TV (CTV) spots, and sizzle reels.
• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Familiarity with related plug-ins (e.g., Red Giant, Particular).
• Proven experience managing a mix of high-concept projects and fast-turnaround campaign tasks without sacrificing attention to detail.
• Professional and respectful communication style, with the ability to take on feedback and build strong internal relationships.

• Familiarity with video production workflows.
