Process Engineer - Remote Opportunity in Glass and Semiconductor

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Process Engineer to join our team remotely. In this Process Engineer remote position, you will support and maintain the decoration and cleaning process stability, leading the development and implementation of technical solutions to achieve manufacturing performance objectives. Your work will focus on achieving the lowest possible costs while ensuring superior quality and consistent operations.

What You'll Do

• Understand customer requirements on decoration through drawing and specification documents, translating these into decoration process drawings and control plans.
• Enhance cleaning capabilities by leveraging your understanding of the decoration process, implementing process control, and supervising process monitoring to ensure steady output and consistent product quality.
• Develop and optimize cleaning and washing processes to ensure high quality and efficiency.
• Participate in the development and implementation of manufacturing washing and cleaning processes for various products.
• Lead problem-solving efforts, providing technical expertise to ensure timely resolution of process issues.
• Conduct experiments and performance improvement projects aimed at achieving targets in product quality, yield, uptime, cost reduction, and capacity enhancement.
• Collaborate with equipment and control engineers to optimize process and equipment interactions.
• Work with related process areas to identify and optimize process interactions.
• Be prepared for weekend and night shift overtime as needed during emergencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or science, with a focus on chemical or materials engineering preferred.
• Approximately 3+ years of experience in glass and semiconductor cleaning, washing, or decoration.
• Experience in glass manufacturing is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of glass surface properties and surface characterization.
• Strong understanding of glass surface cleaning and washing processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid foundation in chemistry, physics, and mathematics.
• Ability to design experiments and analyze data effectively.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) to communicate with global colleagues.
