Principal Loads & Dynamics Engineer - Remote Opportunities

About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Loads & Dynamics Engineer to join our innovative team at Northrop Grumman. This remote position offers the opportunity to work on revolutionary systems that impact lives around the world. As a key member of our team, you will engage in loads and dynamics analysis, contributing to the future of structural dynamics for the Sentinel Program.

What You'll Do

• Conduct loads and dynamics analysis, including rigid body analysis and coupled loads analysis (CLA).
• Utilize your technical expertise to tackle complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
• Collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines such as systems engineering, aerodynamics, and stress analysis.
• Perform Modal Transient Analysis using Nastran or equivalent tools.
• Leverage programming skills in MATLAB for analysis and data manipulation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant technical field; Master's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant experience for Loads & Dynamics Engineer; 5+ years for Principal Engineer.
• Experience in structural dynamics analysis and coupled loads analysis.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
• Proficiency in running static and dynamic structural problems using analytical methods.

Nice to Have

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience with dynamic testing and correlation of structural models.
• Knowledge of high performance computing and management of large data sets.
