Principal Engineer - Data Analytics III (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Principal Engineer - Data Analytics III to join our team at Pacer Group. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in data analytics and engineering to drive impactful decisions and strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze complex datasets and deliver actionable insights that support our business objectives.

What You'll Do

• Utilize data science tools such as Azure Databricks, Power BI, and Python to process and analyze large datasets.
• Prepare and present analysis results in both visual and written formats to communicate insights effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and develop predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
• Lead data science projects, ensuring high-quality data management and troubleshooting data incidents.
• Coach and mentor team members on best practices in data science and business intelligence.
• Support the strategic roadmap for data science initiatives within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with five (5) or more years of experience in data analytics or a related area.
• Advanced knowledge of data science tools and programming languages including R, C, and Spark.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
• Experience in building predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
• Excellent communication skills to convey data insights to diverse audiences.

Nice to Have

• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure.
• Knowledge of business processes in multiple areas of the organization.
