About the Role

We are excited to announce the opening of a new luxury hotel in Newquay, and we are looking for a dedicated Porter to join our team. As a Porter, you will play a vital role in providing an exceptional guest experience from the moment they arrive. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic new hotel opening, where you will help create a vibrant atmosphere for our guests.

What You'll Do

• Welcome guests on arrival and assist with luggage to and from their rooms.
• Escort guests to their rooms, explaining hotel facilities and services.
• Maintain a welcoming and professional presence at the hotel entrance and lobby.
• Assist with guest requests, including directions, taxis, and local recommendations.
• Handle guest deliveries, packages, and messages promptly.
• Maintain luggage storage areas in an organized and secure condition.
• Support the reception and concierge teams during busy periods.
• Ensure the lobby and entrance areas are clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.
• Follow hotel health, safety, and security procedures.

Requirements

• Friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Physically able to lift and move luggage.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous hospitality experience is desirable but not essential.
