Plant Manager - Recycling (On-Site)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Plant Manager - Recycling to oversee our Wilmington, Ohio manufacturing facility. This role is pivotal in managing our off-site Recycling Plant and leading a team of over 75 members. As a Plant Manager, you will ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while driving operational efficiencies. This position requires on-site presence in the Cincinnati-Dayton-Columbus Metropolitan Area.

What You'll Do

• Ensure compliance with product quality, efficiency, logistics, and safety standards.
• Track plant production output and maintain a clear understanding of capacity versus actual performance.
• Engage with team members to foster a collaborative work environment, encouraging diverse ideas and problem-solving.
• Implement changes in processes to reduce costs and operational delays.
• Develop and utilize KPIs for visual management on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to meet customer expectations.
• Communicate proactively about production and staffing concerns to develop effective solutions.
• Conduct performance management and development activities to motivate and mentor your team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in manufacturing leadership.
• Experience in the recycling industry and recycled plastics processing preferred.
• Familiarity with plastic extrusion and material sizing equipment.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting processes.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to delegate and hold team members accountable.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Driver’s License and certifications in Lean Manufacturing and OSHA 30 Hour.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP/JD Edwards software.
• Additional certifications in management or manufacturing.
