About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Piping Field Engineer to join our team at Bechtel in New Albany, Ohio. This Piping Field Engineer remote position involves providing essential project field engineering support for our semiconductor manufacturing plant. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate the preparation of construction drawings, sketches, projections, and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements.
  • Initiate requisitions for field purchases and prepare quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
  • Verify commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
  • Ensure adherence to the zero accident philosophy and safety requirements in the operational area.
  • Support construction engineers and craft professionals in interpreting engineering design documents and vendor documents.
  • Develop a firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.
  • Build system and area turnover packages for turnover to startup and client.

Requirements

  • University degree with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) requirements.
  • Familiarity with Bechtel's Business Ethics handbook and policies.
  • Prior experience supervising and administering subcontractors.
  • Understanding of Bechtel's "Zero Accidents" safety program.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related fields.
  • Strong technical inspection and testing knowledge.
  • Proficiency in construction methods and procedures.
