Pipefitter/​Welder - Remote Opportunity at Phillips 66

About the Role

Join Phillips 66 as a Pipefitter/Welder in a remote capacity, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the Billings Refinery. As a Pipefitter/Welder, you will be responsible for the fabrication, installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of refinery piping, tubing, valves, and structures. This position requires you to complete an online assessment as part of the application process.

What You'll Do

• Remove and repair high-pressure piping and connection systems.
• Repair flange leaks, including tightening or replacing bolts, flanges, and gaskets.
• Provide layout for fabrication and installation of piping systems in accordance with design drawings.
• Fabricate and/or repair piping, structures, and vessels using various welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW).
• Move materials and tools using trucks, forklifts, and carts.
• Set up work sites with barriers, signs, and flags.
• Perform pipefitting tasks while wearing SCBA breathing air.
• Work in a team environment and assist other personnel in accomplishing tasks.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Willing to work overtime and in enclosed spaces.
• Ability to lift up to 79 pounds and work around chemicals.
• 3 years or more direct experience in a refinery or chemical plant environment preferred.

Nice to Have

• Previous ASME B31.1 or B31.3 welder certification.
• Completion of an apprenticeship or Associate's degree in Welding.
• Ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions.
