Patient Access Representative - Remote Position

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Patient Access Representative to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and their families, ensuring a welcoming environment and efficient management of patient information. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a vital role in our healthcare system, which is committed to providing exceptional care to the community.

What You'll Do

• Greet and assist patients and families in a courteous manner.
• Verify and enter patient information into the registration system.
• Provide information about procedures and hospital expectations.
• Maintain confidentiality of medical information.
• Communicate effectively with department staff and management.
• Act as a preceptor for new hires.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
• Work hours: Monday-Friday, 11:30 AM - 7:30 PM.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
• Two years of experience in customer service or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

• Experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
