What You'll Do

• Plan and develop engaging art curricula that align with educational best practices and curriculum guidelines.
• Create individual and group projects that encourage student creativity and exploration.
• Evaluate and grade student performance, providing constructive feedback to foster growth.
• Communicate effectively with parents and faculty regarding student progress and concerns.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Arts Department to enhance the educational experience.
• Participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and creativity.
• Integrate the school's mission and values into your teaching practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Visual Art, Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Teaching experience, particularly at the high school level, is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of art principles and practices, including 2D and 3D modeling.
• Experience with digital tools for art creation and design.
• Ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment.
• Commitment to anti-racism and equity in education.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CAD software and digital fabrication tools.
• Background in inquiry-based and project-based learning approaches.
