Part-Time Residential Counselor - Remote Support Role

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Residential Counselor to join our team. In this remote support role, you will help individuals achieve the highest quality of life while ensuring their safety across various settings. This position requires working on weekends, specifically Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 3 PM to 11 PM.

What You'll Do

  • Implement Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) and follow individuals’ Behavior Skills Plans.
  • Report significant issues using the on-call hierarchy and maintain accurate records using ICentrixs.
  • Enhance individual development through job coaching and involvement in social and vocational opportunities.
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, laundry, and housekeeping.
  • Provide transportation for individuals to community activities, ensuring adherence to GPS guidelines.
  • Conduct physical interventions and maintain safety protocols as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to manage emergencies and ensure a supportive environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License and CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Experience with physical restraints (PABC) and MAP training.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and manage challenging situations calmly.
  • Flexibility to work at different locations and shifts as needed.

Nice to Have

  • 1 year of residential experience.
  • Basic computer skills (email, databases, internet).
  • Ability to handle intimate and personal issues with discretion.
