Part-time Consultant in Orthodontics - Relocation Support

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-time Consultant in Orthodontics to join our team at York Hospital. This part-time role (5 PAs) offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional orthodontic care in a friendly and supportive environment. As a Consultant, you will run treatment and new patient clinics, participate in multidisciplinary teams, and supervise our registrars and specialists.

What You'll Do

• Provide a full range of orthodontic consultations and treatments appropriate for secondary care.
• Participate in Orthognathic and Orthodontic/Restorative MDTs.
• Supervise registrars, specialists, and therapists based at York Hospital.
• Engage in teaching and training of specialty orthodontic registrars in collaboration with Leeds Dental Institute.
• Contribute to research initiatives aimed at raising the Trust's profile in orthodontics.

Requirements

• Must have an entry on the relevant GDC Specialist Register via CCST or ISFE in Orthodontics.
• Proposed CCST date must be within 6 months of the interview.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong commitment to teaching and training.
• Experience in advanced orthodontic treatments and techniques.

Nice to Have

• Experience with 3D-enabled orthodontic technologies.
• Previous involvement in research projects.
• Familiarity with restorative dentistry practices.

• Competitive salary estimated between £60,000 and £80,000 per year.
