Palliative Care Registrar - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Palliative Care Registrar to join our team in a remote capacity. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide essential palliative care to patients while working from the comfort of your home. As a Palliative Care Registrar remote, you will be instrumental in delivering compassionate care to older Australians in need.

What You'll Do

  • Provide in-patient care to individuals admitted to the Palliative Care unit.
  • Liaise with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal professionalism in all activities undertaken.
  • Implement a personal learning program in conjunction with your Specialist Supervisor.
  • Participate in after-hours care for palliative care inpatients.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted NSW Medical Board Registration or eligibility for Unrestricted NSW Registration.
  • Primary Medical degree and a minimum of two years supervised practice as an RMO.
  • Experience in Palliative Medicine is preferred.
  • Strong administrative and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Current Driver’s License.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated compassion and caring attitude.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced palliative medicine trainee (RACP, AChPM) or other accredited trainees.
  • Previous training in oncology or other relevant specialties.
  • Experience in medical research and quality assurance.
  • Experience in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
  • Working towards post-graduate qualifications in Palliative Medicine.
