Nursing Informatics Director - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Nursing Informatics Director to join our team at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. This Nursing Informatics Director remote position is pivotal in enhancing the quality of patient care through innovative informatics solutions. You will lead the planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating of Nursing Informatics efforts across the continuum of care.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the design, development, implementation, and administration of nursing information systems.
  • Consult with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) on informatics improvements and clinical practices.
  • Manage clinical information systems projects and serve as the nursing liaison to IT.
  • Work with stakeholders to integrate electronic applications into operations for quality care and cost efficiency.
  • Advocate for the use of clinical applications and lead changes to EPIC to enhance care experience and efficiency.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction levels by managing clinical applications effectively.
  • Coordinate ongoing clinical application evaluations, focusing on user accuracy and data integrity.
  • Act as a resource for nursing informatics, resolving workflow issues and providing training as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, IT, or a healthcare-related field is required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of informatics experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong knowledge in allied health management, quality improvement, and patient safety.
  • Experience designing EPIC interactions and workflows.
  • Valid national nursing license and BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and EPIC.
  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to speak and write in English is required.

  • Previous leadership roles in nursing informatics.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
