About the Role

We are seeking a Nuclear Plant Engineering Program Specialist to join our team remotely. In this role, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of nuclear plant operations to develop high-quality procedures that ensure safety and compliance. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the nuclear energy sector while working from the comfort of your home.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of plant design and operations to create effective procedures.
  • Utilize software tools to develop electronic workflows and document management systems.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations.
  • Lead a geographically diverse team in procedure development and ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Provide training and mentorship on procedural standards to enhance team performance.
  • Engage with industry peers and vendors to explore innovative procedural methodologies.
  • Coordinate regulatory reviews and ensure compliance with NRC regulations.
  • Assist in establishing departmental goals and budget estimates for project activities.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in commercial nuclear power plant operations, maintenance, or engineering.
  • 5 years of experience in writing nuclear power plant procedures.
  • 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear power plant systems and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in plant design and operational challenges.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with computer-based procedures or software tools for procedure development.
  • Familiarity with INPO and NRC standards.
  • Previous experience in a remote work environment.
